Card Class

I had a couple of friends over for a card class.   Cindy Taylor made this card using a stamp set she had bought from my daughter Sarah.   Marina Mist makes such a pretty hydrangea.   I just taught Cindy a few tips on measuring and putting a card together.   We found this design on Splitcoast and then made it our own.
This was a card I had designed for swapping at Convention and we made a few of these.
I always find it amazing how people take a design at classes and then just make it their own.  I had received a swap from convention that did not have a name on it and it was similar to the one on the left hand side.  Heidi always makes each of her cards in her stack just a little different and they always look neat.   It was a fun afternoon!

Boy's Birthday

This is pretty simple really - an idea my daughter gave me when I had 7 boys birthdays to do at the end of June.   Thank you Sarah!

A Sweet Cake for a Sweet Person

I wanted to say thank you to Angela McKay for all the help she gave me registering and planning for the trip to the Stampin' Up Convention and then helping me navigate through the Convention and for being such a great roomie!  It was so much fun and was a great experience and a large part of that was due to her helpfulness.    One of the on stage demonstrators showed us a cake and there is one in the catalogue.   I glued the bottom row of Blushing Bride covered Hershey's chocolates onto a Ziploc plastic container.  I used the Blushing Bride ribbon to cover up the red and black chocolates because they were the only ones I could find.   The vanilla roses are covering all the parts where I had to join cardstock.  It was fun to make it and I may have to try another one.

This is just some of the fun at Convention - So many creative geniuses all in one place.

Class from swaps

I got the ideas for these cards from swaps and a card class.  The Marina Mist card at the bottom was an idea from Angela McKay - it is nice to make a different sized card on the scalloped square die.  The card above it I swapped with Kristina Koch at our last meeting.  It is such a pretty card.  We spent a couple of hours putting some cards together and I made some sentiment tags for everyone so they could just add them when they were giving their cards out and then they would have a card for whatever they needed.

A little Easter Thank You

I think at one of the first classes I did with Angela Mckay we made cute little boxes for Valentine's Day and put some cute little cards into them.    I copied the boxes and a couple of cards we made at our last Demonstrator's meeting.   I made two boxes for a little thank you gift for my two student support workers who work in my class.   I thought the quote in the top of the box was especially appropriate for all that we do in our classroom.

Happy Birthday

My daughter Sarah and I designed these cards a little while ago.  Sarah had gotten a similar thank you from Angela Mckay and we liked it so much we varied it a little but it is the same design.  Baja Breeze is one of my favourite colours and this card is really easy to make and yet so pretty!
